Privacy Policy

1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for processing your data is Ruptive LLC, operator of Maestre. For any privacy inquiries: hola@maestre.ai.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, and password (encrypted), or your Google identity if you sign in with Google.

Learning data: the course you select, your responses to the initial questionnaire (how you prefer to learn, what you do), your progress, your assignments and feedback, and the lesson notes generated by your teacher.

Lesson audio and video: lessons are voice conversations. Your audio is transmitted in real time to the AI model provider (Google Gemini) so your teacher can hear and respond to you. When the teacher has a visual avatar, the generated voice also travels to the avatar provider (Anam or HeyGen's LiveAvatar) to animate the video; that provider receives the teacher's audio, not yours. We do not publish your conversations or use them for advertising.

Company documents: if your company uses Maestre for Business, uploaded manuals and processes are used solely for your team's lessons, courses, and inquiries. They are never shared with other companies or used to train models, and they are deleted upon company request or account closure.

Payment data: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number; we receive payment confirmation and subscription status from Stripe.

3. How we use your data

To provide the service (your teacher remembers your progress and adapts to you), to operate it (support, billing, hour limits), to communicate with you (account emails, usage reminders, renewal notices), and to improve the product using aggregated metrics. We do not sell your data.

4. Who we share data with

Only with vendors required to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication), Google (AI model for lessons), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Resend (emails), and our internal CRM to manage inquiries. Each vendor processes data according to their processing agreement.

5. Minors (Maestre Kids)

Accounts for minors aged 7 to 17 must be created by a parent or legal guardian using their own contact email. The adult can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the minor's data at any time by writing to hola@maestre.ai. AI teachers use age-appropriate tone and content, and conversations with minors receive the same level of confidentiality as all others: they are never used for advertising or shared outside the vendors listed in section 4.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain your data as long as your account exists. If you request account deletion, we erase your personal data and learning history within 30 days, except for information we are legally required to keep (such as billing records). To delete your account, contact hola@maestre.ai.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your data by writing to hola@maestre.ai. We respond within 15 business days.

8. Cookies

We use browser local storage to keep you logged in and remember your preferences (selected course, favorites). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed, and database access is restricted by per-user policies. No system is security-proof: if we detect an incident affecting your data, we will notify you.

10. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email before they take effect.
